Neville: If the Blues buy a world-class forward, they will have a chance to win the championship and catch up with Liverpool

In a recent interview with Sky Sports following Liverpool's 2-1 triumph over Chelsea, Gary Neville reflected on the match and the challenges facing Chelsea. He began by addressing the team's current struggles, stating, "We all recognize the weaknesses in Chelsea's performance. It's been a challenging period for them, and this match exposed some of those vulnerabilities. While I don't want to pinpoint Nicolas Jackson specifically, I genuinely believe he has the potential to be a key player in a successful setup."

Neville went on to elaborate, saying, "Jackson has shown flashes of his talent, but he requires the right support to truly shine. If Chelsea could secure a world-class striker to play ahead of him, it would allow Jackson to take on a second striker role. This tactical shift could greatly enhance the team's performance. Having an experienced goal-scorer leading the attack would create more opportunities and allow Jackson to exploit defenses effectively."

He emphasized that such a change could be critical for Chelsea's aspirations, noting, "By making this adjustment, Chelsea could significantly improve their chances of competing for trophies in the near future. They would have a real shot at narrowing the gap with clubs like Liverpool, who have built a winning culture and a strong squad. With the right attacking reinforcements, Chelsea could re-establish themselves as serious contenders in the league."
