Team Kratos Racing Electric, a non-profit Formula Student Racing team from PCET Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering in India, is seeking to connect with potential sponsors from the composites industry to develop its next race car.

Team Kratos, a team of 43 engineering students and six-time Formula Bharat and SAE Supra national champions, claims to be the first and only Indian team to manufacture a complete in-house carbon fiber prepreg/aluminum honeycomb monocoque chassis for its vehicles. In 2023, the team competed in Formula Student East and Formula Student Germany, ranking 7th in the world.

Competing for the first time in two upcoming international events, Team Kratos is currently developing a new carbon fiber monocoque and requires carbon fiber prepreg to achieve its goals through sponsorship. In return, the team provides significant exposure through car branding, team uniforms, promotional materials and social media. This partnership will highlight the sponsoring company's commitment to innovation and quality in front of a loyal audience.

What is Formula Student?

Formula Student is an international and national engineering competition that challenges university students to design, build and race small formula cars. Organized by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and other engineering bodies, Formula Student aims to develop innovation, engineering skills and teamwork in future automotive engineers.

Team Kratos built its first car in 2015. Since then, students on the team have built three internal combustion engine formula cars and three electric vehicles. This year, in addition to the new monocoque, the team plans to build carbon fiber/aramid and aluminum honeycomb composite battery pack containers for its cars. Key benefits include reduced weight, enhanced safety (impact resistance and thermal stability), structural integrity and thermal management.

Team sponsors include Tesla, Dassault Systèmes, Gefran, Brose, Tata Motors, Indexnine, Altium, Vactech, Bosch, Ansys, TE Connectivity, PCB Power, ICL, Baker, SVCE and Sthenos Composites.
