Veteran guard Patty Mills, 36, has signed a one-year, fully guaranteed contract worth $3.3 million with the Utah Jazz, according to Woj. As he gears up for his 16th NBA season, Mills brings a wealth of experience and leadership to a team in the midst of a rebuild.

Drafted in the second round of the 2009 NBA Draft, Mills has enjoyed a 15-season career across the NBA, playing for teams like the Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks, and Miami Heat. A highlight of his career was winning an NBA championship with the Spurs in 2014.

Last season, Mills made it to the playoffs with the Miami Heat but faced a first-round exit. Following the season, his contract expired, and he led the Australian men's basketball team to the Paris Olympics. In the tournament, Mills averaged 16.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1.5 steals per game over 4 matches, while shooting 41.4% from the field and an impressive 40.9% from three-point range. Despite his efforts, Australia was eliminated in the quarterfinals by a Serbian team led by Nikola Jokic.

Now with the Jazz, Mills is expected to take on a pivotal role as a veteran leader, guiding a younger roster and contributing his sharpshooting and playoff experience to the team's rebuilding efforts.
