On Saturday, at the Albatross Course of the Paris National Golf Club, Guangzhou player Lin Xiyu won a bronze medal in her third competition, becoming the second Chinese player to win an Olympic golf medal after Feng Shanshan in 2016.

The gold medal was ultimately won by New Zealand athlete Gao Baojing, while the silver medal fell into the hands of German dark horse Esther Henseleit. Gao Baojing was the first player in Olympic golf history to win three medals and also the first player to collect all gold, silver, and bronze medals. In 2016, she won a silver medal in Rio de Janeiro, and in 2021, she won a bronze medal in Tokyo. The former world number one, who has won a gold medal, also meets the requirements of the LPGA and will be inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame.

When Gao Baojing started the final round, he was tied for the lead with Swiss player Morgane Metraux. She swallowed a bogey on the first hole, but before the transition, she caught three birdies, quickly widening the gap with other players and leading by five strokes on the last nine holes. However, on the 13th hole, she hit the ball and went into the water, swallowing a double bogey. As Esther Henserlett continued to climb, her lead decreased to one shot. However, after making a few short walks, she remained at the top of the lead and then adopted a conservative strategy on the last hole, catching a birdie and successfully winning the card.

Esther Henserlett started from the fifth to last group, trailing by 7 strokes and tied for 13th place. But on the last day, her performance was very impressive, catching 5 birds in the first 10 holes and only swallowing a bogey on the 12th hole. Although she didn't swallow a bogey on the green on the 17th hole, she hit the green on the second shot of the 18th hole with two strokes and a 25 foot distance two push to catch a bird, hitting 69 strokes and getting rid of other tied players, catching up and winning the bronze medal.

Yin Ruoning caught two birdies and an eagle in the first six holes, and was only one shot behind at one point. However, after the transition, she kept bleeding, swallowed four bogeys, and shot 72. Her four round score was 284 (72-65-75-72), 4 strokes below par, tied for 10th place.
