Tatum's mother blasted Kerr: My son is not injured, it makes no sense to abandon him

The issue of the use of players by the head coach of the US men's basketball team Steve Kerr has caused great controversy.

In the semi-final match against Serbia, Kerr abandoned the core of the new NBA champion Jayson Tatum, and this was the second time he did so in this Olympics.

People have been speaking out about Kerr's abandonment of Tatum.

Today, ESPN analyst Dick Vitale wrote: "Can someone tell me if Tatum is injured? He didn't get a minute of playing time. Everyone wants to see all NBA players get playing time."

Tatum's mother forwarded and commented: "No, he is not (injured). But if you know what happened, please tell me - this is unacceptable and unreasonable."

Celtics legend Bob Cousy: "The experts I read recently ranked Tatum in the top five in the league, and sometimes ranked him first, but Kerr obviously disagrees. ... In my opinion, he has some kind of prejudice against the Celtics."

Anthony was also puzzled by Tatum's inability to get playing time. Clarkson, Draymond, Rudy Gay, Gerway, Crawford and others had previously spoken out for Tatum.

Kerr's own explanation was: "It has nothing to do with what he did. It's just about the combination of the team's lineup and the way the players cooperate. KD filled the gap after returning from injury. This is more like a math problem."
